BLAME is a game about guilt, about how we try to cover it, numb it, and disguise it as something manageable. Each scene is a quiet moment with the weight of past mistakes and the small everyday actions that keep them buried.
To move forward you have to consume. Each substance buys you more time to reach the next door, but fills your blackout bar, push it too far and you lose everything. Some substances give more time than others, but take more from you in return. It's a balancing act that mirrors the thing the game is about: the cycle of numbing yourself just enough to keep going.
The game isn't about punishment. It's about recognition, the moment you realize the things you do to escape yourself are the very things that trap you.
